Hardware campaign on the Great Ocean Road

The hardware sector is a fiercely competitive market in Australia with Bunnings (Wesfarmers/Coles) dominating and Woolworths with US Lowe about to enter the market.

A retail planning fight in Torquay, Victoria, under the Surf Coast Shire aegis raises very important planning and retailing issues and once again highlights the need for improved understanding throughout the planning community of the net community disbenefit issue.
