CIRR invites your support to fight the chains

CIRR has been set up to promote the virtues of independently-owned retail activity in Australia.  It is a not for profit organisation which will pro-actively support the independents through the provision of a well researched reference point for serious review of the issues, and the often overlooked or neglected positives of independent retailing in terms of jobs, investment and choice, as well as communication of these messages in a variety of means including a dvd series being direct mailed to all politicians and planners in Australia, the media etc.

We are taking baby-steps now, but the establishment is complete and the early stages of development include garnering a solid support base to give credence to the independent message and show strength behind the benefits of our arguments.

The extremely well resourced chains have been setting the political, commercial and social agenda for decades at the expense of the independent retailer.  CIRR represents the start of a push back against the often oppressive outcomes of the unchecked expansion of the chains.

Much of this activity is seen in the supermarket business but CIRR will apply over time to other facets of retailing such as hardware, petrol, pharmacy and others.

Companies can sponsor CIRR at $100pa and individuals can support at $10pa.  We invite you to join to support the cause of CIRR.

Your level of contribution will be acknowledged on the CIRR website, you will receive a copy of all correspondence/mailers/media statements of the organisation in the fulfilment of its duties to keep you up to date with its activities and you will be invited to events from time to time regarding the promotion of the value of independent retailing in Australia.

But most of all your support positively contributes to a sustained campaign against the steam-roller chains and seeks to provide a rightful and continuing place for independent retailing in Australia.
